This is from my iPhone y'all

I am the worst blogger. I am lazy. I read blogs every day. Lots of blogs. I started my own blog with dreams of witty, insightful posts that hundreds, maybe thousands of people would read daily. In reality, I am not that witty and I remembered how much I don't like to write.

I have to go to face my "lovely" students tomorrow. I'll be honest...I've been seriously considering leaving the classroom. I am fed up with the "bureacracy" of public education. I am a mid-career teacher and I am tired of the fads in education. In order to keep my job, I need more kids in my classroom. At-risk students don't do well in larger classrooms. Small classes are necessary for their success.
So what does admin do? Add more kids of course. And the caliber of kids? Why the most troubled of course! And these kids are ALL over the charts academically. All in one room, just like the Little Red Schoolhouse. But add in teen parents, drug addiction, violence, and parental apathy and that will give you a better idea of what I deal with.
No more teaching for me. You can't teach in those circumstances Just straight babysitting. I am a highly paid babysitter, but a babysitter nonetheless.

I need to exercise more. Get off my tushka. Maybe I'll meet a decent man at the gym.

Readers are leaders....I love to read, but being in charge...not so much

The following needs to be done on my car:
The oil needs to be changed
The air needs to be checked in the tires
I need either a) a new belt for the power steering or b) a power steering pump
I need my horn fixed (I haven't had a horn for almost 2 years).
I need the automatic seat belt on the drivers side fixed.

Okay, that's all. I am going to bed. More ranting later.
