I jumped on the Facebook bandwagon. I actually had an account, but never used it. When I discovered my 60 something uncle had an account, I knew I had to get on the ball.
I'll be honest....there weren't many people I wanted to keep up with from my past. No high school buddies, no old boyfriends... no arch enemies.
I looked up a few friends from church who had moved away. We reconnected and it's great. But there is one person who blessed my socks off.
I went to a private, parochial school for my early elementary years. At the end of my 5th grade year, the school had to close. There was one particular girl who was a really good friend. She was quiet (like me--yes I was quiet! No comments from the peanut gallery). She was funny, and her dad did the same type of work my dad did (electrician). I looked up her name and found her! It was good to hear from her after all these years.
When I head down to my dad's house, I will definitely look her up. I can't wait to show
my daughter our year book. She'll get a kick out of that.
That was the high point of my day.

Okay...this was your high point? I thought coming over to my house and holding my baby was your high point...sheesh...I see where we stand!
I actually wrote that BEFORE coming over to see you.
You know I love you girl!
yeah, I love facebook for that reason. I reconnected with my half brother. Haven't seen him since my grandmother died.
